The Oklahoma City Thunder seems destined to capture an NBA title or two, but LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and the Miami Heat very impressively earned this championship. After losing in Game 1 of the NBA new era caps at Oklahoma City, the Heat answered with four consecutive victories. The Game 5 finale was a blowout as the Heat rolled to a 26-point, third-quarter cushion and danced to the finish line with a 121-106 victory. During the regular season, Miami’s Shane Battier averaged 4.8 points per game and connected on 34 percent of his 3-point attempts. Mike Miller, dogged by a constantly aching lower back, averaged 4.8 points. But when a championship was at stake, Battier and Miller were phenomenal role players for Miami. For the series as a whole, Battier was a stunning 15-of-26 on 3-pointers. In Game 5, after having totaled only two baskets in four previous Finals contests, Miller scored 23 points on 7-of-8 shooting from 3-point range.
3. The process continues for Oklahoma City

After getting popped with a 19-4, second-quarter Heat run and trailing by 17 points, the Thunder answered with an 18-5 run. At the 10:40 mark of the third period, after a Serge Ibaka dunk, OKC trailed only 61-56.
Miami snuffed OKC’s momentum with consecutive 3-pointers by Mario Chalmers and Shane Battier.
The roster needs more weapons
Durant averaged 30.6 points during the Finals. Westbrook averaged 27.0. The rest of the Thunder players contributed an average of only 40.4 points and did it on 42 percent shooting.

ST. LOUIS, Mo. — It’s not just how a player plays the game, it’s how he looks doing it. Judging a player from the head down, it all starts with the new era caps
.Does a player wear it old school, new school, curved brim, flat brim, baggy, tight, tilted or straight ahead?
The original purpose of a cap hasn’t changed. It protects players from the elements — sun, rain and wind. In the old days some players used to put cabbage leaves, soaked in ice water, under their caps before they took the field to stay cool.
Now the cap has become a fashion statement. Here’s how some of the Indians wear them and why.
Closer Chris Perez: “I try to use the same game new era hats snapback

Infielder Jose Lopez: “Everyone wears their hat a little different. I bend the brim a little. I don’t like it flat. I want it looking good. That’s the way I’ve worn my hat all my life.”
Left-hander Tony Sipp: “I’m not a big fashion guy out there on the mound. Whichever way the hat falls on my head is fine with me. Hopefully, if you do your job, people think you look good anyway.
“Some lefties tilt their hat. Some do it so they don’t have to look over at first base if there’s a runner on. It gives some deception to the runner like you’re looking over there. … That’s the theory and a lot of people have given me that advice.
“I wear my hat straight and just give the brim a little bend.”
Outfielder Aaron Cunningham: “Some guys wear their hats so tight that they get those red lines on the sides of their head. When I get a chicago bull snapback , I cut out all the padding inside it so it just rests on my head nice and comfortable.
“The last couple of years in the big leagues, I haven’t played a whole lot. When you’re on the bench, you learn about stuff like this. You learn ball tricks and what to do with your hat.”
Right fielder Shin-Soo Choo: “I’ve always worn my hat with the bill bent. I’ve worn it that way since I started playing in Korea. It helps you focus straight ahead because you it blocks out the vision on the sides. Plus I want to look good.”
Right-hander Ubaldo Jimenez: “I don’t do anything to my hat. I just put it on, twist the bill a couple of times and that’s it. It has to fit perfect. Not too big, but not too tight.
“I don’t like wearing it to the side and I’ve never worn my hat backwards. Not even joking around.”
Outfielder Johnny Damon: “I just fold the bill a couple of times and I go with it. I’m old school. Your hat definitely has to fit right. If it’s too big you feel weird. It it’s too tight, you can’t go.”
Second baseman Jason Kipnis: “I just put it on and bend it a little. I wish I had more to give you.”
Pitching coach and former left-handed reliever Scott Radinsky: “I always used to look at CC Sabathia and say, ‘Man, do I wear my hat that way? Crooked and to the side?’ But I guess that’s who we lefties are. We probably walk funny, too.
“Hats are kind of special. I used to get it a size bigger, put it on my head and go into the shower to shrink it up a bit. I wanted it to form just perfect on my peanut head. Then I’d stick a towel in there.
“I like the bill a little curved. Not totally bent like a trucker, but not flat.”

1. Adam Jones, who just signed a six-year, $85 million contract extension with the Orioles, had an MRI on his wrists Monday because of soreness. Just wondering, but shouldn’t the Orioles have done that before he signed the extension?
2. For those who quibble about the Indians being overly protective of their injured players, the Dodgers’ Matt Kemp and his new era caps wholesale hamstring is a cautionary tale.

The Padres played one of their wildest games of 2012, as Monday’s game featured five lead changes. Carlos Quentin gave the Padres their final lead, with a booming double to right, and the Padres escaped with an 8-7 victory over the Houston Astros.

The lead was short-lived, as Houston came right back in the bottom of the eighth, as Luke Gregersonserved up a solo homer to Jason Castro, and the Friars and ‘Stros were deadlocked once again.

Hats – Choosing your Best Hat Color

Clothing:  Brown hats are best worn with brown or green suits and coats. Dark Brown hats are acceptable with dark gray and dark blue suits. In medium and lighter tones, brown-blue, and brown-gray combinations should be avoided.
Clothing Accessories:  When contrasting brown hats you could use clothing accessories such as yellows, blues, dark greens, and wine colors; they add richness to a brown hat. The Green hat
Complexion:  Green hats look better with healthy complexioned gray-haired, blonde, and brown haired men. Dark green hats also look good with a healthy olive complexion. Green Baseball caps  hats are also acceptable with any healthy complexion, and with any color hair; and emphasize red hair. The green hat is not recommended with pale complexions.
Clothing:  Green hats are most attractive with brown, or tan suits and coats; and naturally good with green suits. Green hats top off light gray and medium gray suits and coats very pleasingly. They are also acceptable with dark gray and black.
Clothing Accessories:  It is recommended to repeat green tones in clothing accessories with green hats. Brown, or brownish yellow colored ties and shirts are also good. A black and white patterned tie or scarf is pleasing. With a dark green hat, daring contrasts can be secured with tasteful touches of mulberry, or pale yellow

The Blue hat
Complexion:  Blue hats look best with blue eyes; and with ruddy, and light flushed complexions. Blue hats are also acceptable with any color hair. Blue hats have the tendency to emphasize red hair. Dark blue hats are acceptable with slightly pale complexions.

Blue hats must not “clash” with blue suits. Match tones closely or contrast a dark blue hat with a lighter blue suit, or vice-versa. Blue hats are also acceptable with neutral brown, and tan suits.

Vivid or deep contrasting colors are particularly good as they tone up the particular outfit. Clothing accessories which are predominantly black and white, but have bright touches of green, blue, or red are good.
Though there’s no right or wrong way to wear a hat people consider it as more appropriate to push their hat right to the back of the head. This isn’t always the most flattering look. That is why you need to experiment before the big day. Place your hat on in front of the mirror then move it around until you get the most attractive look.
